Voices of the Project: Bring a 242㎡ LED Scoreboard to life at Heritage Bank Center with YES TECH

News/2025.05.27

In mid-May 2025, a 242㎡ LED scoreboard built with YES TECH’s Mwall P3.9 was installed at Heritage Bank Center. Hanging center above the arena floor, the four-sided display now delivers sharp visuals and real-time game updates to fans in every seat. Behind the scenes, it all came together through solid teamwork, technical know-how, and careful coordination. So—how did it all happen?

1. Before – Vision & Planning

The journey began at the 2024 NAB Show when Heritage Bank Center approached YES TECH to explore a major upgrade: a four-sided, center-hung LED scoreboard. Within just three days, our team delivered a full proposal—complete with design concepts and budget.

Q1: How did you first connect with YES TECH, and what stood out during your initial interaction?

Heritage Bank Center, the client

“At the convention, we visited numerous video screen companies, including the YES TECH booth, where we met Liza. She was exceptional, guiding us in selecting the best product tailored to our needs. Liza also introduced us to the Novastar booth to explore processor options and provided an on-the-spot quote—something no other company could offer.”

Q2: What were your first steps after the project was awarded?

Xuegao Song, Pre-Sales Engineer

“I first dove deep into the client’s use application and creative vision. Based on their requirements, we built a comprehensive design solution—from screen layout and product selection to a seamless corner solution. To achieve a great performance, I collaborated with an R&D engineer to custom-design corner-cut cabinets and connecting brackets for perfect alignment at every angle.”

After the NAB Show, our sales team maintained strong momentum through consistent follow-ups and a scheduled on-site visit. During the visit, the team worked closely with the client to confirm key details, including load-bearing weight, structural requirements, and the control system selection. The client highly praised our fast response and complete solution. Combined with the on-site visit, they clearly decided to move forward exclusively with YES TECH, just pending final approval.

2. During – Execution & Collaboration

As the project progressed, the complexity increased—but our team remained proactive and solution-focused, maintaining close communication with the client throughout.

Q1: What were the biggest challenges, and how did you solve them?

Liza Liang, Sales Manager

“During installation, one major challenge was fixing the new LED frame onto the existing steel structure. Also, each side of the scoreboard required four smaller screens to play different video sources simultaneously. Coordinating that setup with the control system was a complex but rewarding task.”

Xuegao Song, Pre-Sales Engineer

“The scoreboard’s three-tiered 'stack' design with structural challenges—especially since the client wanted to reuse their existing frame to reduce costs. To balance safety and budget, we revised the structural plan many times, reinforcing key points while minimizing the new steel frame.”

Q2: Can you walk us through the installation process and timeline?

Heritage Bank Center, the client

“The scoreboard project began with a crew of 10. In the first week, we removed the old ad signs and video screens. The following week, we installed the aluminum channels for the new screens. In the third week, we mounted the new panels. During the fourth week, we programmed the system and conducted training for the new software. Remarkably, the entire project was completed in under four weeks from start to finish.”

3. After – Results & Feedback

By mid-2025, the scoreboard was fully installed—instantly transforming the venue’s atmosphere. With dynamic content capabilities and crisp indoor resolution, it now serves not only as a game-day centerpiece but also as a powerful advertising platform.

Q1: What were the key factors behind the project’s success?

Liza Liang, Sales Manager

Three things:

Speed – We moved quickly after receiving the request, using the NAB Show to finalize the full plan and budget within just three days.

Professionalism – Our pre-sales team provided steel structure layouts, bracket drawings, and full wiring diagrams, which saved the client a lot of time. They only needed to follow our designs for local procurement and setup.

Trust – The client was introduced by an old friend of mine. When he arrived at the NAB Show, he came straight to me because of that connection, and there was a strong foundation of trust from the beginning.

Q2: What made this project stand out as a success?

Xuegao Song, Pre-Sales Engineer

“For LED scoreboards like this one in stadiums, its size ranks among the largest globally, and the display effect is truly stunning.”

Q3: Why did you choose YES TECH for this project?

Client Feedback – Heritage Bank Center

“We collaborated closely with Liza to finalize the optimal design. She provided engineering, power, and data drawings at no cost, and YES TECH custom-designed special wedges and brackets for our screen. YES TECH offered outstanding support throughout the project, ensuring a seamless process from start to finish.”
