News/2026.06.25
Lisbon, June 2026 — this summer, Rock in Rio returns to Lisbon, once again bringing together hundreds of thousands of music fans and world-class artists. Founded in 1985 in Rio de Janeiro, it has grown into one of the world's most iconic music festival brands, known for its scale, energy, and unforgettable live performances. One of the highlights of the opening day was a performance by global pop star Katy Perry, whose June 20 performance set the tone for an exciting festival experience in the city.

YES TECH at Rock in Rio
Following a successful collaboration in 2024 with our partner PIXEL LIGHT – Audiovisuais, YES TECH was once again part of the Rock in Rio stage in 2026. This year, the production featured approximately 427 sqm of YES TECH LED displays, helping shape a visually immersive stage environment that supported the music rather than overpowering it.

Rock in Rio is not just about scale — it is about emotion and atmosphere. The stage design this year reflected that idea, combining large-format LED surfaces on both sides with the flexible creative geometry of cube configurations at the center of the stage, enabling more dynamic visual expression. The result was a stage that felt open, layered, and alive — where technology supported storytelling rather than standing in its way.

MAir Blow-Through Cabinet Chosen for the Stage
The MAir P7.8 1 m × 1 m transparent LED platform brought a light, open visual layer to the stage design. Its blow-through structure with 47% transparency helped the LED display blend naturally into one cohesive visual experience.

Designed for touring productions, MAir offers a balance of lightweight construction and strong performance, featuring a premium carbon-fiber appearance. Its flexible cabinet design allows for creative cube-shaped stage structures at the center of the stage through its 45-degree cutting-edge cabinet design, while also enabling fast installation, making it suitable for complex festival environments. For outdoor applications, it features an IP65 rating, a wind-resistant air-frame structure capable of withstanding wind speeds of up to 20 m/s, and a maximum hanging height of 25 meters.

“It works very well for large outdoor stages,” the production team noted. “The structure is clean, and the system supports 90-degree corner designs, which is exactly what we needed for this kind of setup.”
A special thanks to PIXEL LIGHT – Audiovisuais for their trust and partnership over the past 11 years. Long-term relationships like this are something we truly value. We're grateful to be part of another successful Rock in Rio production and look forward to supporting even more ambitious projects together in the future.
